Worker's Compensation

The attorneys at Hinkfuss, Sickel, Petitjean & Wieting have significant experience in handling Wisconsin workers’ compensation matters. We have experience handling all kinds of workplace injury and disability claims, including but not limited to, soft-tissue injuries, broken bones, back and neck injuries, knee injuries, shoulder injuries, hand injuries, carpel tunnel injuries, chronic pain, head and brain injuries, and death claims. We have also represented clients involved in uninsurable penalty claims within the Workers’ Compensation Act, including unreasonable refusal to rehire claims.

The attorneys at Hinkfuss, Sickel, Petitjean & Wieting start every case with a thorough consultation where the attorney meets directly with the injured worker or, in the case of a catastrophic injury, with the family of the injured worker. Upon the formalization of the attorney client relationship, we immediately begin to gather medical records, employment records and other documentation pertinent to our client’s case. In every case, we obtain the requisite medical reports from the appropriate medical experts and, if necessary, we enlist vocational experts to help define the issues and present our case. As the case advances, we meticulously review documents and meet with potential witnesses to prepare their testimony at the hearing.

In every case, our ultimate goal is to obtain fair and reasonable compensation for our clients that have suffered work-related injuries keeping both the client’s short and long-term interests in mind.

We assist injured workers, and can help injured workers, in the following types of workers’ compensation matters:
