William Hinkfuss graduated from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin, in 1954 with a degree in history. He attended Georgetown University where he received a law degree in 1958 and an LLM degree in 1959. He served with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 serving in the Far East.

Mr. Hinkfuss worked for the U.S. Government – Law Library of Congress, Veterans Department Claims Administration.

He is admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, the District of Columbia, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

He has been in private practice in Wisconsin for 51 years. He has been a member of the Hinkfuss, Sickel, Petitjean & Wieting Law Firm for over thirty years. He continues to practice in business law, probate, trusts, wills, employment relations, and as an advisor on condemnations.

He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, Brown County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Hinkfuss has been active in the Green Bay community area since 1960. He was an alderman for the City of Green Bay from 1964 to 1968, the Board President of Premontre High School now Notre Dame Academy, the Board President of the Brown County Historical Society and of the Heritage Hill Foundation. He has been involved with the United Hmong Community Center and is currently a tutor and board member of the Literacy Council of Green Bay.

Mr. Hinkfuss is married with six children.
