Kristine Pihlgren concentrates her practice in corporate, real estate, contract dispute and commercial litigation matters. She advises businesses on a wide range of legal matters including, but not limited to, organizational and formation issues, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation and dispute issues, real estate acquisition and development issues, trademarks and outside general counsel matters. She regularly represents clients in a wide range of residential and commercial real estate and leasing matters and has litigated boundary dispute, adverse possession, zoning and easement issues. In addition to the areas in which she specializes, Kristine has significant experience representing employers and employees in employment matters and in assisting clients with their bankruptcy, estate and family law needs, including marital property agreements.

Prior to joining Hinkfuss, Sickel, Petitjean & Weiting, Kristine was a judicial law clerk for the eight judges of the Brown County Circuit Court. Since the completion of her clerkship, Kristine has successfully handled and resolved numerous cases through negotiation, motion practice and trials. Notably, Kristine was co-counsel in a medical malpractice case in which her clients were awarded a $3.7 million dollar jury verdict.

Kristine is originally from southern California and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1999 with undergraduate degrees in Law & Society and Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Kristine attended law school at the University of Notre Dame. During law school, Kristine received the American Jurisprudence Award for Business Associations and served as the Executive Notes Editor for the Journal of Legislation. In addition, during her time at the University of Notre Dame, she participated in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program, spent a year abroad studying at the University of Notre Dame's Concannon Programme of International Law in London and was employed as a teaching assistant for the University of Notre Dame's Department of Political Science. Kristine graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2003.

Kristine is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado and California. She is also admitted to U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Kristine's current professional memberships include the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors' Rights Section and the Brown County Bar Association. She was previously a member of the Wisconsin Association of Trial Lawyers and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Literacy Green Bay, Inc.

When not working, Kristine enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and spending quality time with her family and friends.
