James Sickel practices in the areas of Business, Contracts, Probate, Family, Municipal Law and General Litigation. He received his undergrad and law degree from Marquette University.

Mr. Sickel began practicing in Green Bay with the firm of Crooks & Parins. Later, he joined Bittner, Petitjean & Hinkfuss, now Hinkfuss, Sickel, Petitjean & Wieting.

Mr. Sickel has successfully tried numerous cases in both state and federal court. He was successful in receiving a jury verdict in excess of $3.7 million in 2009. He represents numerous corporations, LLCs and LLPs in their business dealings. He represents local town government and has appeared before commissions, boards and councils in the municipalities of Northeast Wisconsin. He has served as a mediator and arbitrator in many contract disputes and personal injury litigations. He has briefed and argued cases before both the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Several appeal cases have been published.

Mr. Sickel is past president and member of the Brown County Bar Association. He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. He served as president of Legal Services of Northeast Wisconsin now Legal Action of Wisconsin and is on the Board of Directors of Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, Inc. He is also active in the community serving on the boards of Heritage Hill Foundation, Brown County Historical Society, and is a member and past president of the community organized Allouez Beautification Committee, Inc.
